PermitKeys is a private, independent project. It does not use the seal, the logo or the name of any state agency as its own. The official source for your test is the licensing agency of your state, whatever it is called there: DMV, DPS, BMV, MVC or DOL. That agency is the only place to apply for a permit or a license, book a test, pay a fee or check an application. This site will never ask you for an application, a fee or any personal information.

About the test information

Each question on this site links to the section of the official driver handbook it is based on. The rules of the test itself, including how many questions it has and how many you must answer correctly, are set by your state's agency. If this site and the agency ever disagree, the agency is right.

No guarantee of results

Practicing here can help you prepare. It cannot guarantee that you will pass the knowledge test or that you will be issued a permit or a license. Those decisions are made by your state's agency.
